Beethoven Symphony No. 6, "Pastoral"

Beethoven once said, “No one can love the country as much as I do. For surely woods, trees, and rocks produce the echo which man desires to hear.” Beethoven poured these sentiments into his 6th symphony, one of his most beloved and vividly orchestrated works. But in terms of composition, he actually used a lot of the same techniques he employed in his 5th symphony, a piece with a diametrically opposed character.
