Who Created The Paintings for the temple?

This week’s episode is a recorded essay about the Swedish artist Anna Cassel (1860-1937). Anna Cassel collaborated artistically with Hilma af Klint and new research shows that she was in fact a co-creator of some of Hilma af Klint’s best known works, including The Paintings for the Temple. A selection of Cassel’s spiritualistic works can be viewed in the recently released book Anna Cassel – The Saga of the Rose. The book contains two essays shedding new light on Anna Cassel, including her relationship to Hilma af Klint and her influence on early abstract art. This essay is written by Hedvig Martin and read by Ashleigh Cheadle. You can find Anna Cassel: The Saga of the Rose at Bokus at a 20 percent discount using the promo code STOLPE20.Photo: Stiftelsen Hilma af Klints verkRead by: Ashleigh Cheadle Hosted on Acast.
