S05E15 – My Lagan Love

Time to take a trip to Ireland for this week’s b-side, the lovely, a cappella My Lagan Love. This week, we’re talking about My Lagan Love, an Irish song that Kate recorded as a b-side and released as a b-side on two different singles (Cloudbusting in the UK, Hounds of Love in the US). However, these aren’t the original lyrics! A massive Kate fan from Twitter has joined the show from her home in Canada to discuss My Lagan Love. Marlo Forget is another young Kate fan and also Irish folk music enthusiast with a lot to say about this song! There is much to discuss, such as the meaning of the original lyrics, the literary inspiration for Kate’s version, and the history of this gorgeous song itself! If you’d like to follow Marlo on Twitter, you can find here here! Patreon Plug! Strange Phenomena now has a Patreon page.
