Boldly Going Nowhere
In this episode we'll consider all the people around you who are trying to make bold statements about a variety of things, but it's getting them nowhere. Hopefully, you're not one of them. A few days ago I was driving back from a leadership development conference I co-host each year in Ruidoso, New Mexico. As I was driving behind a pickup I noticed a bumper sticker that simply said "Boldly Going Nowhere". That bumper sticker rolled around in my head for a while and I began noticing people all over the place who could be the poster child for that thought. Being bold has its place, but it's usually best applied, or visible, through what you accomplish. It should be a driver, not a statement. Join me as we consider how to avoid boldly going nowhere.
