This time we look at the Spanish case of the Valle de Cuelgamuros. The Francisco Franco-time monumental historical site and mass grave of the victims of the 1930s civil war is an ongoing issue for Spanish society and politics. With the help of two outstanding experts in the field – Paula O'Donohoe and Francisco Ferrandiz – we unpack the complex issues that the historical site embraces.
