Ten Hag's First Press Conference
Ian Irving hosts The Athletic's podcast dedicated to Manchester United with regular Athletic contributor Andy Mitten and club correspondent Laurie Whitwell. Incoming United manager Erik Ten Hag gave his first press conference at Old Trafford on Monday lunchtime and, while he didn't say a great deal, it gave us an excuse to largely ignore yesterday's match at Crystal Palace. With Ian and Laurie in the bowels of the stadium and Andy in a busy airport, we kept things as short and sweet as a stroopwafel, but we did find time to get a sneak peek into Laurie's interview with Juan Mata, with the spaniard's departure from the club yet to be confirmed.
