Hey Hey Ape Fans! We are back with the introduction to the animated ape series, Return To The Planet Of The Apes! This 1975 series kicked off with the episode Flames of Doom. Who remembers watching this 1975 series that just ran 13 episodes on NBC? Who remembers the "stylish" animation? Richard and Mark discuss this first episode and how much went over their heads when they watched it as kids. Flames of Doom starts with three astronauts who are sent on a outer space mission only to return to Earth 2,000 years later. In their debut adventure they witness talking apes who drive military vehicles, a woman named Nova, and, we see the return of fan-favorite General Urko who sounds like he wants to belt out "Yabba Dabba Urko" Listen in and GO APE!
