Welcome to the first episode of Skywalking Through Neverland's new spin-off miniseries "Talking Apes TV" - where we take a look at the unsung Planet Of The Apes TV series from 1974. The 40th anniversary of the TV show demands that we do this! But I am not alone. Hosting alongside with me is not my beautiful wife JediTink Sarah, but the Skywalking Through Neverland creative consultant, Mark Oguschewitz. In our intro episode we give you a refresher of the films and the reasons why the Planet Of The Apes series is so important and has held up over the decades! One word - subtext. What are the Apes movies really about? Each film represents a sign of the time, and the issues the world was dealing with during the years 1968-1973.
