Jehovah does not abandon his people during the Exile. 24:49 – Ezekiel 16 is an allegory of an abandoned newborn girl cast away in a field. The Lord washed and clothed her, but when she grew up, she left the Lord. The Lord compares this image to Israel. 27:39 – Why does God punish?
