For Anyone Who Needs It…(Again)

Trigger Warning: This episode is about abortion.   As most of us recently learned, the Supreme Court is threatening to overturn Roe v. Wade.    This news is heavy and jarring and, as someone who has had an abortion, I know firsthand how triggering this very public debate can be.    I needed to get my thoughts out and vent to you guys about what this decision really means, just in case any of you feel the same. You might be curious about abortions, have had an abortion yourself, or love someone who's had (or will need) one, so this story is from me to you. When I was going through it, I couldn't find a single first-person abortion story, despite scouring the internet relentlessly for one. While all abortion experiences are different, I just need to offer my experience to anyone who wants to know that someone else has, well, been there.    I love you guys for letting me share this part of my story. Connecting with you all about this has been the greatest gift and has provided me with so much comfort – I'm forever grateful and am always here if you want to talk about it.  Download this episode of Tell Me About It with Jade Iovine wherever you get your podcasts!
