Shapewear Sex and Reparenting Yourself

I’ve been dying to talk to you guys about something…   In this episode, we talk about “Reparenting”: a concept I’ve been steadily working on for a few years now. And, not to be dramatic, but it saved my life. We talk about getting in touch with our inner child, what the process of reparenting actually looks like, and concrete ways for you to try it yourself.   Here are a couple questions to ask yourself:   - Do you feel like you’re a victim of the childhood you had, and what it lacked?  - Are you self-critical and overly harsh with yourself? - Are you too permissive with yourself – do you have trouble setting limits, or consistently allow yourself to do things that are unhealthy or unsafe? - Do you ignore your feelings, have trouble expressing your needs, or regulating your emotions? - Do you find it hard to treat yourself with love and compassion?   We also talked about why we should avoid putting people on pedestals, and why seeing someone else post that they “have such an exciting announcement coming up…” is up there with the worst feelings ever.    Resources for today’s episode:   Headspace Hoffman Institute: Quad Checks Us by Terrence Real Download this episode of Tell Me About It with Jade Iovine wherever you get your podcasts!
