Australian Open QFs - Djokovic defies Alcaraz, Gauff falls short and Swiatek's VAR ball drama

We're down to the Final 8 in Melbourne Park with Kim and Chris ready to catch up on all the Quarter Final action from the Australian Open. In the men's draw, 10-time Champion Novak Djokovic defied injury and expectation to defeat Carlos Alcaraz in 4 sets whilst Jannik Sinner continued his dominance down under with a thrashing of home hope Alex de Minaur. On the women’s side, Coco Gauff is out to a resurgent Paula Badosa, who will play her good friend and defending Champion Aryna Sabalenka in the semi finals after Sabalenka survived a scare from Pavlyuchenkova. Iga Swiatek carried on her one-sided scoreline dominance over Emma Navarro although controversy arose with a dodgy double bounce debate! In other news, a feather stopped play between Alexander Zverev and Tommy Paul much to the German's annoyance whilst the team give an update on Collect a Set (spoiler alert: scores struggling across the board!). SOCIALSFollow us on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, plus email the show tennisweeklypod@gmail.com.MERCHPurchase Tennis Weekly Merch through our Etsy store including limited edition designs by Krippa Design where all proceeds go towards the podcast so we can keep doing what we do!REVIEWS***Please take a moment to rate and review the show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you get your pods.
