TRL 113: How Fred Perrotta Built Tortuga Backpacks & The Future of Remote Work

Today on the podcast I am very excited to be joined by Fred Perrotta, the founder, and CEO of Tortuga Backpacks. I have been a fan of Tortuga since I started traveling and I own several of their bags and love the products. Besides making amazing bags for digital nomads and professional travelers, Tortuga is also a fully remote company, and most of their staff are made up of digital nomads, so they truly represent who they serve. During this interview, Fred and I discussed how he and his cofounder started Tortuga after reading the 4 Hour Work Week and taking a backpacking trip to Europe, what the future of online business and remote work looks like, and we also got to nerd out on bags, product design, and every day carry. If you are a digital nomad, a remote work nerd, or an aspiring entrepreneur I think you are going to find this interview very interesting.
