0025 Elements: Soundtracks
In the second instalment of our Elements series - in which we look at one specific element of a Bond-film - we delve into the music of Bond. Not counting the title songs, we discuss all the composers, how a lack of music can improve a scene, how background music adds to the atmosphere, how “local” music isn’t local at all, and how a change of composer can be a risky business. From Jamaican sounds from the late ‘50s, to some very familiar tunes from 2015 - some might even call it a bootleg copy of Skyfall… The 00 Files orchestra is conducted by Martin, with Tyler trying to hit his triangle, Anthony blowing on his alpine horn and Don annoyingly playing his slide whistle...
