13. Game Changing Thoughts

There was a time that I would pace until I saw his car turn into the drive way. There was a time that if he wanted to go do something with a friend, I made that mean he needed a break from me so he must be getting tired if me. There was a time that I made everything mean something about the state of our relationship and if he didn’t show up just perfect in my mind, it meant he didn’t love me. Today, in this season of our marriage when we travel together it’s a blast. When he goes skiing whether it’s alone or with his kids, I enjoy his joy in that. Being able to enjoy his friendship and show his friend a little bit of Florida brings me sooo much joy. It wasn’t always like that. I would worry and make it all mean something it wasn’t. So that’s a little insight to my before…before life coaching, before personal development. I get asked how did I learn what I know and who are some of my teachers and so today, I am going to share some of the words that changed my life. Today is game changing thoughts with Napoleon Hill from his book, Think and Grow Rich. It’s hard to imagine now, but there was a time in my life that I had such a scarcity mindset that the title o his book…”Think and Grow Rich” was a trigger for me. Now, it’s my go to book at least once a year.
