Episode 29: Babe (1995)

If you ever want to see a grown man cry, show him Chris Noonan's Australian Babe (1995), the hit movie about a little pig that went a long way.  The movie flew under the radar until it was nominated for seven Oscars, including Best Picture, and it's been called "the Citizen Kane of talking pig movies."  While the special effects are groundbreaking (it won an Oscar for Best Visual Effects), the tale of the unprejudiced heart of a baby pig and how he changes the world of those around him is touching and timeless. Babe is currently widely available on DVD and Blu Ray and can also be seen for free by Amazon Prime members.
