The 1689LBCF | Chapter 26: Of the Church - Paragraph 14

Chapter 26: Of the Church PARAGRAPH 14 As each church, and all the members of it, are bound to pray continually for the good and prosperity of all the churches of Christ,27 in all places, and upon all occasions to further every one within the bounds of their places and callings, in the exercise of their gifts and graces, so the churches, when planted by the providence of God, so as they may enjoy opportunity and advantage for it, ought to hold communion among themselves, for their peace, increase of love, and mutual edification.28 27 Eph. 6:18; Ps. 122:628 Rom. 16:1–2; 3 John 8–10

Spiritual Growth is paramount for every Christian. Being confessional grants quite some good spiritual growth. This is for all Christians, young and old, men and women, the pastor-teacher, and laymen. This confession of faith is like a mini-systematic theology that one is able to go through and be sure of what they believe from the Word of God. This is NOT like the Book of Mormons or any other writings of men, that are considered equal to the Bible. The 1689LBCF is a document designed to solidify the beliefs of any Christian as seen in the Bible, especially those of Baptist convictions.
