Lawrence is the International Affairs Coordinator for the China Netcasting Service Association (CNSA). CNSA is China’s industry association for voice-first content and the voice-tech industry. He is an advocate for voice-first applications in the Chinese market. Lawrence also helps support international voice-tech companies that launch and choose to develop their businesses in China. Lawrence’s goal is to help bridge the gap between the voice-tech ecosystems of the East and the West to help foster an international and interconnected voice-tech market. In this week’s episode, Nick chats with Lawrence Lin of the CNSA about the rise of voice technology in China and the impact that is it having across the country. Lawrence shares some great statistics and facts on the current state of voice tech in China and offers some insight into how he thinks companies like Alibaba, Baidu, and Xiaomi will evolve their voice assistant platforms over time.
