70: Misha Feigenson | Math, Language, and More: Voice Tech and The Future of Learning
Michael (Misha) Feigenson is an educator, physicist, and entrepreneur. In 2012, together with his wife Miriam he started an app development company to build mobile apps to help young parents like themselves. Their Sound Sleeper app became one of the most popular baby sleep apps in the App Store with more than 5 million downloads. In 2018, together with Fred Park, a teacher and instructional coach in the Massachusetts Public School System, Misha started Thinking Cap Innovation – a startup that uses voice technology and virtual assistants like Amazon Alexa, to help students master fundamental math skills and learn languages. As true proponents of screen-free learning, Misha and his team work to bring high-quality and affordable education technology to pre-schools around the world. In this week’s episode, Nick chats with Misha Feigenson of Thinking Cap Innovations about the future of learning and how voice technologies like Amazon Alexa will play a very large role. Misha shares how started working with voice technology after starting a successful mobile app development company in 2012, and how his scientific background has allowed him to create learning-focused voice applications for Alexa.
