Episode 29 - Doulas, placenta encapsulation and pre and postnatal yoga with Louise Dwan

Lou was a beautiful support to me long before Flynn was conceived, and once I was pregnant I knew that I would be calling on her support through my birth/postpartum experience. While I didn't have a doula through my birth, Lou was an amazing support in encapsulating our placenta and in the time that followed. In this episode we talk about the role of a doula and how that compares to other care providers, the rituals associated with placenta encapsulation and how we can adopt this ancient wisdom in modern times, why you might like to consider consuming your placenta and the benefits associated with it, how pre and post natal yoga can be deeply supportive to mama and so much more. Louise is one of those women who makes you feel safe, calm and supported just by being in her presence, and it's truly a delight and honour to be hosting her in this episode.
