After being let down by Mulan (2020) I was really in the mood for a great Wuxia film. Shadow has been sitting on my shelf for far too long and it was finally time! What a great surprise this was! A beautiful and stylized masterpiece. This looks like nothing else! It may follow some typical beats of wuxia, but it adds B L A D E U M B R E L L A S what more is there to say!?
