Self-Soothing Strategies for Dealing with Stress & Anxiety

Stress and anxiety are two things we ALL have to deal with on a regular basis. The problem is, most of us never learned how to cope with stress in a healthy, positive way. Instead, in an effort to self-soothe, we picked up negative, destructive habits like yelling, drinking, disordered eating, or compulsive spending (just to name a few!) In this episode we're going to explore the difference between positive and negative self-soothing strategies, and I'm going to walk you through the process of creating a simple self-soothing toolkit to help you respond mindfully anytime you're feeling stress, anxious, angry, or overwhelmed.
