72: Spector & Les Incompetents - Fred Macpherson on the London 00s indie scene, the search for the right sound, and a new album

This week on The Boys in the Band Podcast we catch up with Fred Macpherson currently of Spector and formerly of Les Incompetents. In a bumper episode, Fred gives fantastic reflections on the London indie scene during the 00s, where his band Les Incompetents hung out and performed with the likes of Jamie T, Laura Marling and Mumford and Sons but never took off in the same way as those acts. A little put out - and after experimenting with Ox Eagle Lion Man - Fred returned to the stage and found success with Spector and their brilliant blend of pop-indie-rock. We also chat about collaborations during that 00s era - Pun Loving Criminals, Grindie - some funny tour stories, and Spector's upcoming new album! Spector or Les Incompetents fan?
