Every year, at Girls State, young women from across the country gather to form a mock government while honing their leadership skills. The new Apple TV+ documentary “Girls State” follows some of these girls from 2022’s event, documenting their triumphs, failures, tears, and breakthroughs. Co-director Amanda McBaine joins the show along with one of the film’s main subjects, Emily Worthmore.
