We're often taught that if we want to feel confident in something, we have to practice until we have mastered it. We believe that confidence comes from developing skills and constantly improving ourselves. While this is sound advice in certain situations, it does little in building long lasting, internal confidence. What do we do if we are learning something new? How can we feel confident in ourselves if confidence is only supposed to come through mastery?
