8: Do You Want Fries With That? Opening the Sales Door Without Being Pushy

Whether you are just starting out in your online business, or you’ve been serving your clients and customers for years, actually selling your products well can be a real challenge. We’re in week 2 of a 4 part series and we’re taking a look at what other businesses have done well - like fast food restaurants - and applying those strategies to ours. This week, on our women in business podcast, we’re diving into opening the sales door without being pushy so you can make sales without feeling icky!  Selling in your business might feel icky because… -You don't believe in your product -You just want to make money, which makes it all about your, instead of your customer or client -Your product doesn't help them actually achieve the transformation you are selling -You don't have the backend of your business set up well enough to actually complete the sale Maybe it’s time to evaluate why selling feels icky to you and make a few tweaks in your funnel. Know Your Why Your why can’t simply be “I want to make money” or “I want to help people” - you have to dig deeper than that. What is it that you really want to do? How do you want to help? What do you have a burden for? When you know your why on a deeper level, it’s not about sales, it’s an invitation into living a better life. Take time to sit with it. Your first “why” might not resonate with you - so keep digging! Build a Connection Right now, buyers are hesitant to invest, so you need to build a connection and establish a relationship with them. Clients and customers buy from someone they know, like, and trust - and that takes time. They need to believe that you can help them and that you have their best interest in mind. Think about where you can add more personal touches in your sales process from start to finish so that you don’t feel pushy about sales? Open the Sales Door Without Being Pushy through Invitation Turn your sales from feeling icky into an invitation. You can do this by painting a picture from where they are now (speak to their pain points), where they want to be (the transformation), and how you can help fill in the gap, and then invite them into that process. It’s up to them to RSVP. For yourself, keep your palms open and hold it all loosely! READ MORE:
