324 Using the Disturbance Model

Brian and Chad talk about the Disturbance Model that speaks of using power to influence a given cause.  When a leader uses power to influence their cause, resistance will be a by-product.  It is easy to demonize the resistance, but a good leader will instead learn from the resistance. Here are three ways the leader can benefit from the resistance: You are probably not as clear and convicted about your cause as you think you are. You are not comfortable with power, being in charge, or making waves. If you are experiencing mostly resistance for a long period of time, you are probably not good at this or have a weak cause.
