Tenuta Rapitalà: A Union of French and Sicilian Heritage

Tenuta Rapitalà started with a love story between a French nobleman, Count Hugues de la Gatinais, and a Sicilian woman, Gigi Guarrasi. The couple inherited the estate from the Guarassi family after it was destroyed by an earthquake in 1968. They rebuilt Tenuta Rapitalà, cultivating both French and Sicilian varieties. Rapitalà began producing estate bottled-wines starting with the 1976 vintage. Today, Tenuta Rapitalà is overseen by 3rd generation winemaker, Laurent Bernard de la Gatinais. The Connected Table is broadcast live Wednesdays at 2PM ET.The Connected Table Radio Show is broadcast on W4CY Radio (www.w4cy.com) part of Talk 4 Radio (www.talk4radio.com) on the Talk 4 Media Network (www.talk4media.com).
