63. My Thoughts on Britney Spears' Conservatorship

In 2008, Britney Spears' father petitioned the court for legal authority over her after what appeared to be a decompensation in her mental health. The courts granted it, and she has now been under a conservatorship for thirteen years. That means, for thirteen years, she has had zero say over her body, finances, career, or life with this conservatorship in place. Her father is in complete control. In today's episode, I'm chatting about:  What a conservatorship is Britney's plea to end her conservatorship  The timeline of events that led to Britney's conservatorship  Why I'm calling bullshit The stressors that appeared to exacerbate her mental health  Whether or not I believe Britney lives with a mental illness My theory of what I think happened to Britney Spears Why I feel her conservatorship is doing more harm  What I believe she needs to do to heal  Be sure to hit play if you want to free Britney from her ridiculous conservatorship.  ____________________________ COURAGEOUSLY.U SHOWNOTES:  https://courageouslyu.com/britney-spears/   COURAGEOUSLY.U FACEBOOK COMMUNITY: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1416219115169393   COURAGEOUSLY.U INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/courageously.u/
