The C.O.W.S. Neutralizing Workplace Racism 04/10/25
The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly summit on Neutralizing Workplace Racism 04/10/25. Last week we heard a number of reports about attempted spouses/care mates coming in to visit the workplace. At least one report indicated White coworkers disparaged a black couple for going out to enjoy a "lunch date." This sort of unprovoked, vindictive Racism is widespread on the job. It's as though Racists hate seeing non-white people attempt to be constructive and affectionate with other non-white people (all their hard work for nothing). AND Racist love to gossip and pry into all the details of their non-white coworkers' lives. A brief visit from a care mate can provide the perfect opportunity for your White colleagues to pepper your partner 20 (or 200) questions. We also hear more illustrations of anti-blackness in the workplace and examples of black people being encouraged to discuss Racism publicly while on the job.
