Peace & Justice - Bennett Johnson

Bennett Johnson has been a civil rights activist since he was six years old.  He joined the NAACP at age 12, and met Martin Luther King, Jr. in the mid 1950s.  In this visit to the chat room, Bennett shares the challenges of peaceful protest.  Lissa & Thom also learn how he advises progressive youth, and what it took to broker the unlikely meeting of Elijah Muhammed & Dr. King.
