Donald Trump has officially become the first current or former President to face criminal charges. He faces 34 counts of falsifying business records, allegedly covering up a hush money payment as an election expense. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, called it a “catch and kill” scheme, while Trump calls the charges against him “massive election interference”.
