On episode 20, Dave is joined by Mark Manning of the Juno nominated Newfoundland traditional folk bank, Rum Ragged. Mark stopped by to talk about what the band has been doing to keep busy during Covid- 19 and whats in the store for upcoming events. A Cape Shore native, Mark discussed growing up in St. Bride's and how his surroundings and a special teacher gave him a love for traditional music. Dave also pulled a few answers out of Mark about interesting trips he has been on with the band including 1 where they got stuck in the Torngat Mountains in northern Labrador and having to take a speed boat down the coast of the Labrador Sea to get back to St. John's and headline the NL Folk Festival. Mark breaks down what a Juno nomination meant for the band and talks about who some of his biggest musical influences are.
