Promises, Panic & Poppers

Dear Diary & Listeners, I cried recording part of this episode.  And it got me thinking... Why did THIS episode make me cry? What is it about my wedding that sparks the tears?   You’d think that reliving the abandonments, the emotional abuse, and all the other subpar efforts confused as love would make me sad...   I know the answer.   This episode didn’t make me cry because I was reflecting on that moment of my wedding ceremony. Tears started flowing in the studio because right then; I felt as if I may never get to experience such a meaningful moment again. I felt hijacked. Such important meaningful moments, all hijacked by a human incapable of love and compassion.   The thing is...it’s all bullshit. We don’t just get ONE shot at happiness. We get as many as we give ourself. So this is me publicly throwing away the self-limiting doubts. I finally feel happy again.I know who Amanda Lynette Arnier is. I love that bad ass, resilient bitch. Someone will love me. Far better than I could ever imagine before.   In this episode you will join me for my beautiful wedding in Sedona, AZ. You will also spend an evening in the emergency room. Followed by a road trip to Colorado, Dick’s self-proclaimed LEAST FAVORITE state. Be sure to share, like, and review. When host Amanda meets Dick—a seemingly charming Mormon man from Las Vegas who pursued her relentlessly on social media—she had no idea the chaos that was about to unfold. What began as a whirlwind romance quickly unraveled into something far more disturbing. Season One of The Dichotomy Diaries pulls back the curtain on the man behind the mask. What appears to be a devoted husband and religious man is, in truth, a compulsive liar entangled in financial domination, secret escorting for men, and a web of manipulation that left a trail of broken women. This season follows Amanda and six other unsuspecting women, all connected by the same predator, as they share their raw, unfiltered stories of betrayal, coercive control, and the strength it took to survive him. New victims of Dick continue to surface regularly. On average, The Dichotomy Diaries has helped at least one woman per month recognize the red flags, escape the manipulation, and avoid becoming the next chapter in this chilling story. But the story doesn’t stop there. Each subsequent season of The Dichotomy Diaries centers around a new brave individual who chose to speak their truth—shedding light on toxic relationships, the psychology of abuse, and what it really means to reclaim your voice. These aren’t just stories. They’re a warning, a mirror, and a testament to the power of truth. Because sometimes, real life is darker—and more unbelievable—than fiction.
