Sandra Dozie: Tackling Energy Poverty Through Entrepreneurship.
Sandra Dozie is the CEO of Salpha Energy, a company that provides solar electricity products to various homes, businesses, and income levels across West Africa. She joins us for the first episode of season 2 to discuss the importance of being an active player in the push to permanently eradicate energy poverty. Sandra worked with the UN at the historic period in 2015 when the Sustainable Development Goals were first implemented, this ambitious move by the UN inspired Sandra to come back to Nigeria a year later. In 2017, Salpha Energy was born, and a little while later a major recession hit Nigeria, weakening an already unstable economy.
