“They were talking down to the community about business” - final thoughts on the krept & Konan black business backlash #unfiltered

In this week’s episode of Unfiltered, we address—for the final time—the ongoing discussion about ownership and Black business in light of the debate surrounding Krept & Konan’s involvement in Saveway supermarket. We respond to what we believe was the rappers “talking down” to the Black community after it emerged that they each hold 2% in shares, despite the media portraying them as the owners. We also discuss how the rappers and their podcaster friends tried to act as though there wasn’t a valid reason for many to feel they were being disingenuous. This will be the last time we address this topic.

The Express Truth Show was created for individuals who wanted to be informed, educated and entertained on social and popular issues without the usual bias and under coverage that we believe was being presented from some of the mainstream media. We decided to fill the void with the creation of the often controversial and thought provoking Express Truth Show based in Birmingham, UK, where we give what we think is the ideal and correct type of coverage with the perfect type of presentation. Our show has gone on to find success within the iTunes circuit before later expanding to other audio platforms such as Spotify and others. The decision to have a visual presence would in turn lead our team to YouTube where we have seen our audience grow. People have been very responsive towards our unbiased and unfiltered reporting style, while being able to see the humour we bring in an area that usually has a full focus on the doom and gloom outlook on the world.Twitter: @ExpresstruthpodInstagram: @Expresstruthshow
