Breaking stereotypes in metalworking with Nikita Adickes of CTEK

Nikita Adickes, a fabricator and project manager at Orange County, California-based architectural fabrication shop CTEK, discusses her passion for metal fabrication and her nontraditional journey in the industry. She shares her experience working on various projects, including architectural art installations with the likes of Frank Gehry and James Turrell. Nikita also talks about the challenges she faces as a woman in a male-dominated field and the importance of proving herself through project managing, hard work, and dedication. CTEK was founded by Nikita's father, Eric Adickes, in 1993. Nikita also mentions her love of automotive customization and interest in exploring other trades, such as carpentry and glassblowing.
