040: How to Have an Emotionally and Spiritually Healthy Community with Michel Hendricks

Today we’re talking about what it looks like to have a spiritually and emotionally health community with our guest Michel Hendricks. We got to dive into both the brain science and the practical side of what it looks like to foster a community that is emotionally in-tune, spiritually healthy and that is thriving and growing, so that we are creating safe environments that people can come to from wherever they are and experience genuine and long-lasting growth. This applies to friendships, relationships, small group settings, ministries and organizations. Michel Hendricks (MDiv, Denver Seminary; BS, University of Colorado) has been a teacher and trainer for more than twenty-five years. He is the former pastor of spiritual formation at Flatirons Community Church in Lafayette, CO. He has also served and trained people in Argentina, Bolivia, Mexico, Kenya, South Sudan, and Uganda. He is the author of Basic Training for Walking with Jesus and Intentional Apprenticeship. He and his wife, Claudia, have three adult children.Get started with online therapy & counseling:Better Help Counseling (10% off your first month): https://betterhelp.com/mosesFaithful (Christian) Counseling (10% off your first month): https://faithfulcounseling.com/brittneyFor a list of specific mental help & crises resources: https://brittneyamoses.com/mental-help-resources/Connect with Michel Hendricks here!Website: http://www.michelhendricks.com/Connect with Brittney on social media for more:Instagram: @BrittneyMosesInstagram: @ChristianMentalHealthInstagram: @faithmentalwellnesspodcastFacebook: @BrittneyAMosesTwitter: @Brittney_MosesBrittneyAMoses.comCrisis lines by country:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_suicide_crisis_linesSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-faith-mental-wellness-podcast-with-brittney-moses.
