This conversation is taken from the chapter of the same name from the book "Attachment in Family Therapy" written by Patricia Crittenden et al. This conversation includes shifting a viewpoint of individual bhaviors or symptoms in an child to placing those behaviors in the context of attachment and instead seeing those behaviors as functioning to promote survival and to elicit comfort, safety and protection from the parent or caregiver.Kathryn de Bruin is an ICEEFT Certified EFT Trainer.
