The one where we review Encounter and Lamb
Hello and thank you for downloading another episode of The Flixters Podcast! On this week’s show we review Encounter, a new Amazon Prime release starring Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal, Venom). In the film, Riz plays ‘Malik’ , an Afghanistan war vet trying to keep his two sons safe from a perceived parasitic invasion from outer space. Check out the show for what we thought! We also talk about A24’s newest release, Lamb. Starring Noomi Rapace (Prometheus) as a farmer living on a remote Icelandic farm. Alongside her husband, they tend to the birth of little lamb but what they encounter is something completely unexpected. If you like your Scandi dramas on the weird side, this one will be for you. Over on Anniversary Corner we look back at A Beautiful Mind (2001). And over on Hidden Gems we’ve got American Skin (2019) written and directed by Nate Parker.
