Defoe & Deeney Football Firsts: Being Booed

In episode seven, Troy and Jermain look back to the first time they were booed as players and how they dealt with fans being critical of their performances. Troy begins by reflecting on what Gianfranco Zola once told him: that only good players get booed, before the pair discuss what happens when fans boo, what sort of names they get called, and what players say back to angry away ends. And they get into the weeds on the types of fans and whether they like them and the differences between fans in a stadium and fans online. They challenge online fans to come to training and see how quickly they would collapse at a standard session.
