#129 - Connie Marshall | Alta Legend & Telemark Skier
Connie Marshall is originally from Ohio where she was first introduced to skiing. As a young adult she headed west to Utah where she landed a job in the ticket office at Alta Ski Area. What she thought would be a couple of seasons in Utah’s powder Mecca, turned into a 44-year career at the iconic ski area in Little Cottonwood Canyon. In the early 1990s she became Alta’s first Marketing & PR Manager and was instrumental during her tenure for bringing Alta to the forefront of ski culture around the world. Her creation of an athlete and photography team over 20 years ago was a key ingredient in keeping ski magazine and movie watchers salivating for the deep days in Utah. She started Telemark skiing around 1978 when a small group of people that worked at the mountain started picking up gear and learning the turn and she’s still dropping a knee all of these years later.
