#49 - Scotty McGee
Today’s guest is one of the great minds of Telemark technique and instruction. Scotty McGee grew up in Nashville, TN where his father would take him skiing in nearby N. Carolina. He moved to Utah in high school where he continued to explore in the outdoors including cross-country skiing, hiking and eventually trying Telemark skiing. After high school he went back east to Dartmouth in New Hampshire to study Psychology while still pursuing skiing as much as he could. Post college he headed west again where he began working at Grand Targhee outside of Driggs, ID. His ski career has led him to be a member of the PSIA Nordic Team from 2000-2008 & PSIA Nordic Team Coach 2008-2016. He is currently an Instructor/Trainer at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and the PSIA Divisional Examiner and Clinic Leader for Telemark, Cross Country and Alpine. He has a wealth of knowledge in technical skiing and instruction and I learned a lot during this conversation. #SpreadTelemark #FreeheelLife Find out more about Scotty McGee: Email: ScottMcGee@Wyom.net Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/teleboy Connect with Josh and the Freeheel Life Family Josh on Instagram and Twitter Telemark Skier Magazine on Instagram, Twitter and YouTube Freeheel Life on Instagram and Twitter Shop The Freeheel Life Telemark Shop HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT US: Support our content by making a donation of your choice: PayPal.me/freeheellife CHECK OUT FREEHEELLIFE.COM Check out articles on TelemarkSkier.com Email Podcast@freeheellife.com THANK YOUR FOR LISTENING.
