After TVNZ and Newshub's cuts - is there a way back for journalism?

TVNZ has become the latest media company to cut back on its news programming. The state-owned broadcaster has proposed to shut down current affairs shows Sunday and Fair Go later this year amid cost savings measures. With Newshub also on the chopping block, local news is facing a true crisis, and many are wondering if there’s a way back from the edge. Today on The Front Page, Auckland University of Technology journalism lecturer Dr Greg Treadwell joins to analyse the state of local media.
