Sports betting in the United States looks dramatically different today than a decade ago. The industry wouldn't be where it is today without the efforts of David Rebuck, the 2024 Vixio Compliance Lifetime Achievement Special Award recipient. As the longtime regulator of New Jersey, David was at the forefront of regulatory reform for gambling in the U.S. He was a crucial part of his state's successful legal bid to overturn PASPA and, in its wake, usher in a new era of gambling in the States. As part of his recognition for receiving the Vixio Global Regulatory Award for Compliance Lifetime Achievement, David sat down with our chief analyst, James Killsby, to reflect on his more than thirteen years in gambling regulation. Rebuck also discussed the future of an industry he helped shepherd into being.
