036. Permaculture for the Home Gardener with Angela Ferraro Fanning

Angela Ferraro Fanning started out as a graphic designer with a passion for eco-wise choices. She then went from holistic homesteader on just ¾ of an acre to full-on permaculturist operating her historic farm in New Jersey. Angela teaches us, organic gardeners, how to implement permaculture principles like companion planting, working with animals, and taking cues from the patterns in nature to help us have self-sustaining gardens that work for us, not against us. She also digs into the benefit of perennials, and how we can transition into a beck and call system with our plants that leads to self-maintenance. This conversation is so enlightening for even home gardeners with just a few pots.  For more information on Angela, visit www.axeandroothomestead.com, or find her on Instagram HERE.   For more information on Bailey Van Tassel, visit www.baileyvantassel.com or find her on Instagram HERE. Om Podcasten

The Garden Culture Podcast is more than just a how-to garden podcast, this is a place where we let the garden inspire our lives, as well as get to know incredible people who infuse their own lives with the magic of nature and gardening. Follow along as we talk about what to do in the garden each month and interview interesting people who weave gardening into their lives. Our host, Bailey Van Tassel, is a home gardener and the founder of a national gardening club. Her goal is to get more people gardening, especially in suburbia and small spaces, as she has. Bailey's mission is to make gardening an American pastime and a part of our innate culture. Her hope is to have more families raise their kids with a reverence for nature and an instinct for growing their own food and flowers.
