Steph Crowder: The Worst Advice She Used to Give as a Business Coach

Today I’m joined by my good friend, and someone I’ve mentioned on the podcast numerous times, Steph Crowder. Steph is a stellar business coach with a really strong background in sales, helping me out with my own thoughts about selling. She went from a struggling sales rep for Groupon who was nearly fired for her low numbers to Director of Sales Training for all of Groupon by the age of 26. She then branched out to launch her own coaching services and programs, learning a ton about entrepreneurship and herself along the way. Today we get into the story of why she ended up temporarily quitting her business and what finally brought her back.  This Week on the Get Paid Podcast: Steph's journey from a challenging start in sales to becoming a top performer Why Steph temporarily left entrepreneurship to work for someone else again The pivotal shift that led Steph to rediscover her passion for entrepreneurship after a year hiatus The inevitable personal development that’s required if you want to grow a business Steph’s stance on passive income vs. 1:1 offerings The worst advice Steph ever gave as a coach and what she believes now How she figured out the real problem with her business model (Hint: it wasn’t her business) Mentioned in this podcast: The Life Coach School: https://thelifecoachschool.com/  Dielle Charon: https://diellecharon.com/  Connect with Steph: https://www.stephcrowder.com/ Courage & Clarity Podcast: https://www.stephcrowder.com/listen  The Messy Middle Mastermind: https://courageandclarity.lpages.co/mastermind/  Thanks for tuning into the Get Paid Podcast! Claire Pelletreau was just starting to grow her side business as a Facebook ad and marketing consultant when her full-time job disappeared. Desperate to land enough clients just to pay the bills, she was disappointed at how difficult it was to find real tactical advice that would help actually her get paid month to month. The Get Paid Podcast is Claire’s attempt to pull back the curtain on the reality of running an online business. All these people pulling in “six figures” - how are they ACTUALLY doing it? What kind of money do they take home after expenses? What are those expenses, anyway? Are they truly “solopreneurs” or are they supported by a team? What does that team do for them? How are they marketing their offerings and growing their lists? How long did it take to get to where they are? You’ll discover how different entrepreneurs get paid and what it costs them to bring in that money.
