Ep 7 Andrew Mclean - Backcountry Skier and Author of The Chuting Gallery

This week Andrew McClean clicks into The Gnar Stool. McClean has 25+ years of ski mountaineering under his belt. He's slid down the slopes on all seven continents, led countless daring expeditions, and chalked up an impressive roster of first descents, from the wilds of Baffin Island to the peaks of Iran and the untamed beauty of Patagonia. Andrew and Alex Lowe are the brains behind the term "dawn patrol," a catchy rallying cry for those early morning mountain missions. In '98, he penned the legendary "The Chuting Gallery," the go-to guide for thrill-seekers hungry for Utah's most challenging backcountry descents. And in '03, he went full-tilt as an Avalanche Forecaster for the Utah Avalanche Center. When he's not chasing the perfect run, you'll find Andrew soaking up the good life in Park City, surrounded by the love of his life, his wife, and their two adventure-ready daughters.
