Why We Must Rewild with Author Jessica Carew Kraft

Do you feel the constant tug of this modern world, like I do? The tug of constant distractions, never-ending to-do lists, and endless stuff to move and manage? Living in this today's world can feel chaotic, loud, and overwhelming. Have you ever asked yourself if this way we were designed to live? At some point in our journey, we may notice the stresses of modern-day living greatly impacting our livelihood, our sense of wellbeing, and our miraculous bodies. We may even look closer and question if all the things we attend to and focus upon every day are actually worth all the energy we expend on them. There may also come a time where we are led to shut the modern world out, for even and reconnect with the truth of who we are. In this latest episode of The Hippie Moms Podcast, Jessica Carew Kraft, the author of Why We Need to Be Wild, shares her journey from a Silicon Valley mom with a high-powered career to letting it all go to follow the path of her heart. She knew deeply that this chaotic tech lifestyle was negatively impacting herself and her family and began to question everything about modern day living. Her burn out from this anxiety-ridden lifestyle fueled her to venture into the unknown. Her story is about how she rewilds herself back to the ancient ways humans have lived the majority of their existence and shares with us simple ways we too can get back to living a purer and more naturalistic lifestyle. I truly believe the majority of us suffer from nature deficiency. The seemingly urgent and important things we stress about every day rip the peace and calm right out from under us. If we don't question our way of living, with compassion and curiosity, then we will continue spinning on the hamster wheel of a life that is just about getting by. We are not here on earth to "just get by"; we are here to live our divine destiny as divine beings. It took so much courage for Jessica to flip her life on its head to uncover the priceless gems hidden beneath the surface of technology and to-do's. This isn't about selling everything and moving to the middle of nowhere, it's about building a bridge between our modern lifestyles and the ancient way of nature. Even if we just come one step closer to the ways humans used to live, we will be reminded how we are nature and we belong to it. The further we walk away from our inherent pull towards nature, the further we fall into the pit of stress and dis-ease. We cannot forget who we are. Jessica helps remind us of the way back home and urges us to take baby steps to get there. I hope you love this conversation as much as I do.
