The Hauntings of Eloise Asylum

Eloise Asylum resided in Westland from 1839 to 1986, when it was shut down by The State of Michigan. Most of the buildings have been demolished, leaving only a couple left standing. Starting as a poorhouse with 7 residents and climbing to over 10,000 residents and 2,000 staff members, it has become one of the most haunted locations in the world.
